Wine Growing Regions of the Western Cape
The Coastal Region is the historic, prestigious heart of the South African wine industry, accounting for nearly half of all the area under vine in the country. Located in the Western Cape, it forms a wide crescent around Cape Town, stretching roughly 105 kilometres from Darling in the north to Cape Point in the south, and extending inland to the Boland Mountain range.
